This new system will allow real time monitoring/reporting of occupancy of study spaces in selected floors of the Main Library and display of availability of study spaces to library users. 

The project will investigate commercial products and purchase and implement a suitable system in order to provide benefit to users seeking available study spaces and allow evaluation of the product, with a view to informing future decisions on systems of this type.  The service could be expanded in future by adding additional assets/licenses. The project will investigate potential for integration with interactive library floorplans and complement trials of in-house occupancy software.
