 Overview and Objectives

C&M Prospectus Application Enhancements - modifications and enhancements to the existing system

Undergraduate (UG):

Once a year there is major input exercise through phpadmin by C&M staff. The usual process is to duplicate database and some scripts. Then the paper publication is pulled together and this is basis of input. Publication is around end May for paper version. Roughly 2-3 weeks full time for data input with 2-3 weeks for validation. The objective is to make modifications and enhancements to enhance the student experience and facilitate the user processes. In conjunction with this, there is the need for Key Information Sets(KIS) integration - this is a requirement for all HEI's.

Post Graduate (PG):

Normal route for collation of prospectus is input of data into system and then production of paper copy from this. This year, due to re-analysis of data requirements, the reverse process is being used. Collation of information will be manually through “paper copy”. This will be collated, standardised and then input into the system in time for the joint publication. From this re-analysis there may be some additional data fields coming out that will need to be added. At present it is thought that the number will be very low. Updates after this will be on a rolling basis as was the case previously. The objective is to make modifications and enhancements to enhance the student experience and facilitate the user processes
