Resources Skills and Cost

Resources from Development Services, Production Management, Web and Project Services will be required, a link to project estimations have been provided below.  As this is a hosted solution the main focus will be on; reviewing and approving documentation and proposals, enabling data collation / access for supplier, quality assurance, UAT, and supporting deployment to Test and Live.

Priority for the Project Team will be to identify dependencies and risks aligned to the wider UoE infrastructure and projects.

Project Governance

Project Sponsor is ultimately accountable for the success or failure of the project.  The Project Sponsor must ensure that the project is focused on achieving its business objectives and delivering the forecast benefits.  The Project Sponsor has to ensure that the project gives value for money and adopts a cost effective approach which balances the demands of the business, users and suppliers.  They should ensure that there is appropriate and effective governance for the project. This governance responsibility cannot be delegated.

The Project Manager has day-to-day responsibility to run the project on and is accountable to the Project Board for the successful planning and execution of the project. They are responsible for ensuring that the project produces the required deliverables within the specified time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits, within the tolerances agreed. The University Project Manager will work with the Supplier Project Manager in managing any change requests, issues and risks and produce supporting project documentation during the project lifecycle.

Senior Supplier will have overall responsibility for successful completion of supplier deliverables.  The Senior Supplier is accountable for the quality, performance, technical integrity and timeliness of the supplier project deliverables.  It may be appropriate to have multiple Senior Suppliers for example where there are both internal and external suppliers.

The Senior User represents those groups who will use or gain benefits from the project and must be empowered to make decisions on their behalf. In practice the Senior User is likely to be responsible for realising the business benefits and may have "business as usual" service commitments after the project is completed. The Senior User is responsible for ensuring that the resulting service delivered by the project meets user expectations, satisfies user needs and contributes towards realising the business benefits
