Report by Susan Ridder-Patrick for May 2024

Achievements this period

  • The brief and revised milestones were approved
  • Test results and as-fitted drawings have been supplied (but late - see below)
  • Updated WAP information provided (but incomplete - see below)
  • Requirements gathering continued for DDI partners and members
  • LST fit-out continued, working around the work on going by the estates project
  • Enterprise architect has joined the team for service design for DDI Hubs
  • Room and deskbooking being implemented for 3rd of June for agreed EFI spaces as a pilot in TTU programme (TTU031)

Issues

  • As-fitted drawings and test results were supplied w/c 27 May but this was too late for the assigned resource to review before retiring. This  assurance work will now need reassigned in ITI CIS
  • Updated WAP information improved but still incomplete - EFI are reviewing the locations where the install deviates from the spec to determine if this reduction is acceptable
  • LST are having to work around the Estate's project which the team are doing but this is not an efficient way for them to work and therefore this carries a risk of delay. With the Events space work being completed in June/July, there is a risk that this may not conclude before the Book Festival team are on-site.
  • DDI requirements are still being gathered but there are gaps in the operating model for the Hubs which need addressed so these can be concluded

Next Steps

  • Complete Events space
  • Complete DDI requirements and start service design work
  • Progress Support model agreements
