OCS Upgrade (HSS046)

Achievements in last period

• OCS was upgraded on LIVE on 11 March 25
• HSS tested on LIVE
• Post-deployment period ended on 28 March 25
• The old server was switched off during this period (18 March 25)
• Closure report has been circulated for approval

Issues

• During post-deployment period the following issues were corrected

  • Docker image build now updated by supplier on 2.12.3 tag. The other tag will be completed shortly for their next patching
  • Advice on backing up from supplier
  • Some agents were found to be manually configured so a temporary fix was put in place and the sponsor is starting a project to update these agents.

REDCap Installation Project (HSS047)

Achievements in Last Period

• Project brief updated and now completed
• Business have completed the REDCap Installation form for the licence so Dev Tech are now able to download the software
• Discussions and meetings carried out with other areas of the University that use REDCap in order to ascertain the likely costs Production will incur post go-live.
• Approved planning milestone date change at Apps Review - change to 10/04/2025

Issues

• After a meeting with MVM and which gave an overview into the support that REDCap requires post go-live, Production had requested that the brief is not put into Apps Review until the project gets extra support budget approval of 7 days. This will take into account weekly patching and bi-annual upgrades that are required. Prior to the meeting with MVM it was initially thought that the original KSR budget would be sufficient.
• The planning has been delayed to 10/04/2025 as the CAHSS Programme Owner will need to approve the extra 7 days KSR support budget. The Programme owner is on annual leave until the start of April.

Next Steps

• Meeting with Programme Owner to discuss the KSR budget increase
• Project brief to be signed off by project team and Apps Review
• REDCap software to be downloaded and build commenced

Peace Agreements Database – Continuous Improvements 24/25  (HSS048)

Achievements this period

• Fortnightly sprints prioritised
• Staging environment build completed and deployment underway, ITI fixing issue related to environment
• Amnesties Database deployed onto new Python infrastructure - Python decommissioning process passed to Production- not charged to project
• Production Handover started - Document review started
• Additional Developer working on project in March, focus on moving and updating Amnesties DB
• Extending Project into April to allow for latest coding release

Achievements in last period

• None this month

Issues

• Project closure has been held up this month as the project sponsor has been on extended leave  and HSS wanted to wait until he was back to close the project. The closure was therefore pulled from its original submission and will be resubmitted to Apps Review at the beginning of April when project sponsor is due to return
