To procure the use of a software ETL (extract-transform-load) tool.
The tool will be used to create and maintain robust live technical processes to extract data from operational systems, to validate and transform the data and then load information into EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse).
The technical processes will be designed and created by the application development community, and managed as part of business as usual by production management.
A separate project will be created to install and productionise the chosen ETL tool.

Background
The Integrated Administration Services project sits within the ISG Change Programme, which has been created to focus on how staff in ISG work together and how services are delivered, enabling everyone in ISG to play their part in taking the service forward and making it fit for the future. The ISG Change Programme is focusing on nine key themes, one of which is Working Together.
The purpose of the Working Together theme is two-fold:
As part of the Data Safe Haven project. It was agreed that backup infrastructure would be required in a alternative site to primary Data Safe Haven server site, the ACF at the Easter Bush Campus. It was agreed that the new Backup Infrastructure would be located at JCMB data Centre at the Kings Buildings Campus. Additionally, as part of this deliverable we would expand the capability of the existing TS3500 at the ACF by adding two additional expansion tape racks. This is complete.
