Key activities for this area in quarter 3 included:
- Recruitment of a work based placement student to research modern slavery grievance mechanisms and access to remedy.
- Meetings with several members of the modern slavery working group (in lieu of a planned meeting in April, which was cancelled due to Covid). Meetings with remaining working group members are scheduled for May.
- Peter Hayakawa delivered a webinar for the sector about why Electronics Watch affiliation can help universities respond the the Modern Slavery Act.
- Dave and Alexis had a call with members Sydney University's new Modern Slavery Taskforce to discuss approaches.
