Exhibition planning continues with Jim Secord, with input from Exhibition Officer Bianca Packham.  Scaffold narrative in place, we are now working to identify objects, and change the focus to be object led. WIth this in mind, Lyell Research Intern is focusing on the link between the archive and specimens held by Schools of Geology and Archaeology. Loan approaches have been made to each School. Exhibition links also reinstated with The Talbot Rice, and also Fruitmarket Gallery. 

Lyell Intern involved in delivery of an access workshop lead by Elizabeth Lawrence, considering Sea Serpents, to young Sea Cadets. 

Notebooks were accessed by Michael Barany's History of Science students - students enjoyed an evening 15 minute slot, producing good questions and feedback. 

Lyell as 'explorer ' the theme of a hosted session with WEA working with Ruthanne Baxter. 

Team were delighted also to host visit from Mary & Patrick Gifford, Lyell's  descendants and residents at Kinnordy. 

Presentation delivered to the Scottish Society of Art History, considering Lyell's drawings in his Notebooks.
