Overview
Background
Hope Park Counselling Centre (HPCC) is the University’s in-house counselling centre for the full time MCID (Masters in Counselling: Interpersonal Dialogue) students. The clients are members of the public, and the centre currently has a maximum capacity of 33 counsellors and 99 clients per week. MCID students are on a two year visa and must complete 150 counselling hours at HPCC to pass their course. The centre currently uses an MS Access database which has been voluntarily developed and supported by a retired Information Services employee of the university, John McEwan, who has now advised Hope Park that he will be winding down the development and support for the database, and to consider how to take it forward.
