With the introduction of the GDPR legislation in May 2018 there may by several issues resulting from software upgrades or actions taken by owners of systems who have data integrations with key research information systems which result in some remedial action being required to ensure research information systems continue to function as required.

We will also have to ensure that GDPR compliant versions of the software are being used in a manner which is compliant with the legislation, for example some roles might need to be reviewed/removed in order to meet our obligations under the law.

Implementation of things like a retention schedule, and the removal of certain elements of legacy data, by upstream system owners might result in changes being required to integrations with Pure. Additionally, information which is create solely in research information systems will need to have a retention scheduled applied to remove content which is no longer required.

This project is in addition to others looking to have systems upgraded to the GDPR compliant version as supplier by the vendor.
