- James Slattery not called for Jury duty so available to continue full data prep and scheduling dry run in TEST
- Alison Ramsay unavailable w/c 12-Feb while focusing on business-as-usual exam scheduling for May 2018 exam diet

- More resit data available direct from EUCLID and could be presented to Exam Scheduler in the EUGEX view
- IS S/W dev team developer (Thalia) not available to start design work due to other project work for UWP006
- More analysis and school workshops to be completed by Andy Crossland and Sabrina Fijalkowski before Thalia can start design work

Issues

Change to Benefits in PID - the identified £15k of staff cost savings within Exam Timetabling team won't be realised - volume of workarounds in new system too high

New Open - Scientia Exam Scheduler product - scheduling constraints ( system parameters) are set globally , and can't be set differently for Main exam sittings and Special exam sittings

Open - Scientia have replicated the application crashes experienced by UoE exams team in ES v3.5.8 – Scientia support team raising the issue with the ES product manager
- Open - Critical bug with Exam Scheduler with error in calculation of extra reading time when exam duration changes - reported to Scientia support on 8-Jan - awaiting response
- open - EQIA not completed - task escalated to Scott Rosie
- Resolved - Inadequate Exam business team resources to support extended Phase 1 and new Phase 2 ( owner Scott Rosie) - back-fill now in place until May 2018

Risks
- Availablity of Scientia technical resource will delay Phase 1 acceptance sign-off - as Scientia need to do some work on the Student Systems Connector before UoE team can retest
- Resource conflicts within SSP / Student systems could delay Phase 2 analysis (Owner Kirsty Roseweir)
- Legacy systems could fail before being replaced
- Scientia technology could constrain final end-to-end solution - more workarounds than envisaged in PID - smaller cost savings of staff time in Exam timetabling team
Next Steps
- Phase 1 - WP1 and WP2 - Agree workarounds with Scientia and the UoE Exams team , and take some benchmark timings to compare against the legacy system
- Phase 1 - WP1 and WP2 - complete testing of exam scheduling for NEP and non-NEP students ( in progress in TEST) by end of Feb 2018
- Phase 1 - WP3 - Start integration testing from Mon 5-March
- Phase 1 - WP4 - Complete BI Suite rework from UAT testing
- Phase 2 - Complete business analysis and get input from schools via a workshop with school stakeholders
- Phase 2 - Start design work, after business requirements agreed
