Issues

 

  • Open - May 2018 main exam diet has started - limited availability of business lead and business tester
  • Open -  bug with Exam Scheduler with error in calculation of absolute extra reading time when exam duration changes - reported to Scientia support  on 8-Jan - patch requested by end of April 2018 - not delivered - will now be released as part of Exam Scheduler v3.5.9 (due in May 2018) - not critical for Aug resits - must be fixed by Oct 2018 for Dec 2018 main exam diet
  • Resolved - Split Location fix for Calsync , Exam web timetables and BI Suite reporting - change to UoE Views deployed to TEST by Greg Carter, requires re-testing in Calsync after clear-down [fix was host key change to concat ( Exam ID + Room ID) ]
  • Open - Calsync error log file - needs config change to pull in text description [ Advice provided by S2Unified] - Entries view joined to Students to bring in Student email
  • Done  - EQIA completed - no new tasks identified for SAS005 project team from EQIA

 

Risks

 

  • Legacy systems could fail before being replaced (low) 
  • Scientia technology has already and will constrain final end-to-end solution - more workarounds required than envisaged in PID - impact : additional staff costs in Exam timetabling team

 

Next Steps

 

  • Phase 1 - WP3 - Calsync -  re-test Split Location issue w/c 14th May 
  • Phase 1 - WP4 - Complete BI Suite / Web exam timetables rework from UAT testing by 4th June
  • Phase 1 and Phase 2 - complete implementation plan for deploy to LIVE , secure resources for handover to support
  • Go Cab approval sought on Tues 15-May , ahead of deployments to EUGEX LIVE
  • Phase 1 and Phase 2 - deploy to LIVE by 4-June 2018, ahead of Go-Live on 11th June
  • Post go-live scheduling support from Scientia business consultant on 4/5/6-July 2018
  • Publish Aug resits exam timetable by 22-July 2018
