The implementation of new Digital Asset Management System via DLIB008 project only covers the deployment of the new Islandora software and associated Training and Support of the system. 

The next stage of work is to manage the successful migration of image / data from the existing system LUNA to Islandora. 

This project is to complete a migration proof of concept which when completed  will assist with :

benchmarking migration activity

support the provision of estimate of migration volumes, data cleansing required, timescales and resource required to complete migration which will be undertaken under Business-as-Usual activity for the Digital Library teams e.g. Development & Systems and Cultural Heritage and Digitisation Service.

This information will also support and input into the Data Migration Strategy documentation for the completion of full migration from LUNA to Islandora.
