Project Summary
After speaking with the rest of the team there may be a problem that’s worth investigating, or at least making other users aware of, with Closure Reports on the Project Website.
I’ve lost 3 to 4 hours of work yesterday and today working on a closure report. I’d updated a closure report yesterday afternoon, and just before I finished I hit ‘Publish’ as I’d normally do. When I went on this morning, none of my changes had saved – as it was one of the last things I did before finishing last night, I put it down to a mistake on my part and just went ahead and made the changes again and hit publish just before lunchtime. Then when I went back to distribute the report, I realised my changes had gone again.
Susan mentioned she lost a Closure Report last week too with similar behaviour, and by doing a bit of testing it appears that the Publish button on the Closure Report pages won’t save any changes on the report, and changes need to be saved first then published (I know generally this is good practice, but I’m not in the habit of working with drafts for Closure Reports.
I checked a Project Brief, and the monthly report pages, and these seem to work as normal regardless of the order that buttons are pressed.
Happy to take anyone through this to show what’s happening if the ramble above doesn’t make sense!
