Overview
Background
This project has been initiated to upgrade the University's installation of Worktribe to the latest version 2.5, this incorporates applying the hot fix of 2.3, upon the advice from Worktribe it has been agreed that the upgrade to 2.4 is now out of scope.
Instead we will bypass the upgrade to 2.4 and bring forward the upgrade to 2.5 instead. The upgrade to version 2.5 is required for GDPR compliance which comes into force on the 25th May 2018.
The supplier (Worktribe) will undertake this work and are issuing change logs to allow UoE to review the functional changes.
Scope
The scope of this project is to upgrade the University’s installation of Worktribe; initially applying the hotfix to v2.3 and v2.5, ensuring that it continues to operate as expected including:
- Testing of processes adopted by the University
- Testing of the Interfaces presenting data to Worktribe from Finance, HR, and VRS
- Testing of the outgoing interfaces to eFinancials
- Testing of the external reporting solution (and the Worktribe BI Universe)
- Testing of additional and/or enhanced functionality to the system
- Upgrading WIKI pages and/or User Guidance
Potentially updating automated test scripts if this approach is pursued
Out of Scope:
- Upgrade to version 2.4

Benefits
- Worktribe is updated to the latest version, ensuring that supplier support is maintained
- The application is at a version that supports GDPR compliance that comes into force 25th May 2018
Success Criteria
- Bug fixes resolved by applying the hot fix to 2.3
- Upgrades to Worktribe are completely successfully in line with the software road map lifecycle
- Upgrading to the latest version of Worktribe in advance of GDPR coming into force.
