Each year the Website and Portal Services Programme undertakes a project to upgrade the required components of the Staff and Student Portal. In addition to this work on the portal service there are two other proposals included around the Notifications Service and continuous improvements. This project is combining these three project proposals:
- Annual Portal Services upgrade
- An Upgrade to ket components of the Notifications service that are end of life
- A sponsor-funded element for Portal Services' continuous improvement
This project will combine all three of these individual pieces to deliver the maximum benefit. For both the Portal Service and Notifications Service, it is critical that the underlying framework is up to date to ensure that security and any relevant legislative updates are implemented within a reasonable timescale, the same is relevant for the Notifications Service. The purpose of this project will be to review that framework and upgrade it where necessary. It will also deliver continuous improvement changes according to the CI roadmap priorities and develop new ways of working between Applications and Website and Communications.
