Impact and Dependencies

• Testing the purging and archiving may impact on performance of the DEV and TEST environments.
• The purging and archiving process delivered may require removal of user access to the Finance database while in progress.
• The project will require availability of FIS staff to test procedures.
• IS applications will require the assistance of ABS to understand how the standard purging procedures work in order that  a suitable archiving process can be developed.
• Depending on the method chosen to archive purged data there may  be a future support cost  as future changes to the eFinancials purging routines may result in updates to the archiving and support procedures. However this risk should be limited as the ACTRD8 routines have not been changed for years (if at all) and the archive will be maintained for only two years.
