Overview

Background

This project will review the current D & A infrastructure documentation; review the technical documentation for the upgraded version of ThankQ: determine what would be needed to host this at the University of Edinburgh, and estimate the work required to upgrade this service. It is anticipated that D&A and ThankQ, combined, will manage the upgrade and configuration of of the application itself. The current plan is concerned with plans to deliver the infrastructure for the upgrade.

Scope

The scope of this project will encompass an analysis of what would be required to make preparations for the deployment and ongoing support of the ThankQ upgrade. This will include estimations of effort and timings, and some costs, of the work needed.

Objective/Deliverable

The objective is to deliver a report that includes an estimate and high level plan to deliver the upgraded infrastructure needed for the new version of ThankQ.

Benefits

It is anticipated that the report will help Development & Alumni plan for the ThankQ upgrade by providing them with costings and timings for the elements of work that would be done by IS Applications as part of the project to upgrade ThankQ.

Success Criteria

The completion and delivery of the above-mentioned report.
