The HR data extract to PURE will be updated to add more details for fixed term contracts in order to meet the REF reporting requirements.  The project will also deliver a number of small enhancements and fixes to the HR data extract.

  • When a meeting is set up, enable the participants to add the meeting to their electronic diary
  • Enable students to add a meeting to Office365 as their electronic diary of choice

During the Initial ESS IT Tools project many of the requirements were unclear. As use of the wider Personal Tutor System starts to grow, a number of improvements to the Initial IT Tools were been suggested. This project is to implement one particular prioritised suggestion, that when the meetings are saved in the IT Tools they are also able to be saved into the staff and students electronic diary.

UniDesk is a shared service providing a web-based service management tool for the Education sector.  It acknowledges industry best practice and is based on TOPdesk Enterprise with Shibboleth authentication.

UniDesk has been developed in partnership by Abertay (Dundee), Edinburgh and St Andrews Universities. The partnership shares the cost of the service and directs service strategy and development and offers the service to members.
