Release 1
16 User Stories have been selected for release 1. These focus on providing the basic functionality for system administration (to set up the base data) and the capturing of material activity (e.g. new materials, usage and disposals). A list of the selected Stories is shown in the table below in priority order.
N.B. these are only the User Stories selection for Release 1. Subsequent releases will follow soon after and will look at areas such as reporting and alerts.
As this is the first release, the prioritisation was done by Health & Safety and the Project Team. Prioritisation for subsequent releases will include reps from the Bio and Radioactive community.
This first release consists of a total of 40 Story Points, which based on Agile velocity estimations should be able to be completed in 2.4 iterations, giving a release date of 17th May.

Agile Velocity Estimations
- 2 x 80% developers + 1 x 40% PM/Analyst = 10 mandays pw.
- Agile benchmark is 50%, so 10 mandays x 50% = 5 days production pw.
- 5 production days pw = 5 x 7h = 35 hours production per week
- Therefore each 2 week iteration = 70 hours production
- Estimations to-date suggest 1 story point = 4 hours ,therefore max 17 story points per iteration
