As one of the top Universities in the world, creating a lasting, professional, “first impression” should be a key strategic driver.

This project will look at improving the management of the content, look, feel and messages which are displayed on screens outside of meeting, tutorial, seminar and lecture areas.

The default timetabling image/output is a blank white screen with small black font in the top left hand corner of the screen.  This was referred in the Headscape review as akin to sending plain text emails.

Utilising the outputs from the EdGel framework, this project is to look at defining and delivering a standard approach to the “look and feel” of our display screens, with a “menu” of agreed content types, and a signed off model moving forward.

This project aims to investigate the most appropriate technology platform(s), potential cost implications, and also seek engagement across the University, with student input, to deliver some example or sample design layouts moving forward.
